We came 4 people before a show . Didn’t hear about it before, just walked in.They Sat us on the Bar. The service was slow we got our drinks and then were told by the bartender they are busy doing other things..Took a long while to even put in the order, two other bartenders didn’t want to take it, said our guy will , and when our guy finished doing his things - he explained that they advise to order a few dishes so for 4 people about 12 dishes and all at once ..(!)
Some dishes(most of them that aren’t salad or bread) may take up to 45 minutes
.. at that point after these long explanations and a great drink without food along with it -
We didn’t have time for this
We asked what takes the shortest
Ended up getting 3 “breads” orders and two salads. Those arrived slowly and not together . Tapas size plates basically starters..
Not planing to go again despite everything being tasty .
Too busy to spend a day waiting for things to slowly come to my table for $$$

There are wonderful delicious places all over .
This was not one of them

Theodora is a warm and welcoming spot in New York.

A mix of counter seating and tables makes it feel easy.

The menu moves between Mediterranean flavors with Asian and Middle Eastern touches.

Some dishes are simple, others stand out more, like the black cod with miso beurre blanc.

A pleasant dinner that fits well in the big apple. Good game.
